Fish4Pets, the company behind the brands Fish4Dogs and Fish4Cats is celebrating its 20th anniversary this May.
The company started in 2004 in rural Worcestershire, England, when a fishmonger and his wife noticed how much their dogs enjoyed the fish skins and scrap fish trimmings from their kitchen and the difference it made to their general health and well-being.
The duo began baking fish skins, perfecting their method over time and the world-famous Fish4Dogs Original Sea Jerky was born.
Today, still based in Worcestershire, with 50 staff and a state-of-the-art operations facility, the increasingly recognised British brand exports premium, fish-based food and treats to dog and cat owners in over 30 countries worldwide. Fish4Pets has benefitted from many years of Norwegian ownership and more recently, collaborative investment based on strong sustainability and sourcing ethics.
The Fish4Pets team commences its 20th birthday celebrations next week at the International, bi-annual pet trade event, Interzoo, which takes place in Nuremberg, Germany, 7th – 10th May.

The Fish4Dogs, and Fish4Cats brands have been awarded several industry accolades in its 20-year history including the GlobalPETS Forum Asia Export Award (2015), Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2017: International Trade, and this year, scooping the prestigious UK consumer award Your Dog ‘Best Complete Dog Food 2024’ for the Fish4Dogs Finest Complete Dry Food range.
