WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

DetailsMonday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, with the appropriate rest breaks.

Pay£10.00 per hour

General Purpose

This role reports to the Parcel UK Trade & Direct To Consumer team leader. You will carry out duties in all areas of the UK Trade & Direct To Consumer Operations.

You may on occasion be required to support our Production team in Rushock (Droitwich), during peak times.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Goods Inwards – unloading vehicles and put away into locations;
  • Quality checks upon receipt of products;
  • Completing sample packing for the Technical Manager as and when required;
  • Unloading containers – unloading unpalletised loads and palletising stock accordingly;
  • Loading / Dispatch;
  • Daily use of DPD systems;
  • Picking and packing, including heavy parcels, and complete consolidated pallets to UK Trade / D2C parcels;
  • Meeting daily targets set by your line manager;
  • Physical stock transfers;
  • Stock replenishment as and when required;
  • Ensuring all parcels/pallets are packed correctly and in a safe condition;
  • Completion of parcel checks as and when required;
  • Completion of stock checks in line with weekly / monthly schedule;
  • Adhere to the company clean as-you-go policy and hygiene standards at all times;
  • Report any product or packaging non-conformance to the line manager;
  • Undertake all duties in line with company work instructions and policies;
  • Conduct daily MHE checks;
  • Operate to high moral standards and encourage peers to do the same;
  • Maintain personal discipline including timekeeping;
  • Ensure information is recorded correctly on daily sheets and highlight any issues to team leaders;
  • Communicate with your team leader daily to ensure you understand targets and schedules;
  • To commit to the continued development, sustainment, and improvement of the organisation’s Quality Management System, and any future management systems that the company may decide to implement;
  • To abide by Health and Safety regulations, and roles and responsibilities as defined in the company’s Health & Safety Policy.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Warehouse/ Production experience;
  • Health and Safety, and Quality Management aware;
  • Current MHE licenses & experience desirable;
  • Team player;
  • Excellent communicator;
  • Able to work unsupervised to required standards;
  • Numerate and literate;
  • Excellent attention to detail.
